Mark attendance

Who this is for: whoever takes the register at a session. That is the event’s creator, a coach or manager of the team the event belongs to, or an Admin or Owner.

  • The event must have started. Before then the screen says “Attendance can be marked once the event has started.”
  • You need to be the event’s creator, a coach or manager of the event’s team, or an Admin or Owner.
  • On an event shared by two or more teams, being a coach of one of them is not enough. Ask an Admin, or whoever created the event, to mark it.
  1. Open the event from Schedule.
  2. Tap the ⋮ menu and choose Manage attendance. The screen is titled Attendance - {event name}.
  3. Each member has a coloured stripe showing their RSVP (green yes, red no, amber maybe, grey no answer) and two buttons: ✔ present and ✘ absent. Tap one for each person. Use Search members… on a long list.
  4. For lateness or a note, tap the pencil next to the name. The sheet has Punctuality (On Time, 5m Late, 10m Late, 15m+ Late) and Notes / Comments for anything else (“sore leg, forgot gear, left early”). Tap Apply Changes.
  5. Tap Save All. You see “Attendance saved.”

You can come back and change it any time until the event is locked.

The padlock in the top bar locks the event. Once locked, nobody can edit it, change its members, mark attendance or change assessments. Unlock it to make changes; a finished event’s details and members stay locked, but attendance and assessments open up again.

Members answer Yes, No or Maybe before an event; that is their RSVP, and the counts on the event page are RSVP counts. Attendance is what you mark here, at the event. Both are kept, so the club can see who said yes and did not come. RSVP closes when the event starts.

Members who have not answered get a push notification, “Attendance Required: please mark your attendance for {event}”, before the event. That reminder goes to the members, not to you.

  • “This event was cancelled - attendance can’t be marked.” A cancelled event has no register.
  • “Event locked. Unlock it to mark attendance.” Tap the padlock, confirm, then mark.
  • “You do not have permission to manage event attendance.” You are not on the event’s team as a coach or manager, or the event covers more than one team. Ask an Admin, or whoever created the event, to mark it.
