Import federation fixtures
Who does this: an Owner, Admin or Manager, once fixtures are published by your federation.
ClubEzy imports fixtures from the Dribl Match Centre, the competition system behind Football NSW, Football Victoria and other federation sites. Your federation keeps running its competition; you stop re-typing it.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Select the season and have your teams created, with each one’s age group and gender set. That is what ClubEzy matches on, so filling them in saves you work later.
- Know the name your club goes by on your federation’s site.
The import is a five-step wizard: Source, Preview, Map Teams, Review, Complete.
- Go to Events and click Import Fixtures.
- Under Platform choose Dribl, choose the Competition Season, then search for your club by name and pick it from the results. Click Fetch Fixtures.
- Check the preview. It lists every fixture the platform holds for your club, across all of its competitions.
- On Map Teams, link each competition team to one of your ClubEzy teams. ClubEzy suggests a match on age group and gender where it can and marks it Auto-matched; change any that are wrong, and tick Skip for teams you do not want.
- Review the totals, then import.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”Each match becomes an event for the ClubEzy team you mapped it to, carrying the opponent, the ground and the kick-off time, with the competition and round in the description. Events arrive team-only, so switch one to public if the whole club should see it. Members RSVP to them like any other event.
Keeping fixtures up to date
Section titled “Keeping fixtures up to date”Federations move kick-offs, call matches off and add rounds. Check for Updates, on the wizard’s last step, re-fetches from the platform and applies the changes: new kick-off times and grounds are written to the events, cancelled and postponed matches are marked cancelled with the reason, and new rounds are added. It tells you how many were updated, flagged, added and left unchanged.
Use it before you leave the page. Check for Updates is only offered on the final step of an import you have just run, and there is no way back to it afterwards. Running the import again is not a substitute: an import skips any fixture it has already brought in, so it will add new matches but never update one that changed.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”- A team has no match in the list. Check the team is matched on the import page; unmatched teams are skipped.
- The federation changed a kick-off after you imported. Use Check for Updates if you are still on the import’s last step. Otherwise edit the event by hand, because importing again will not update it.
