Your first season

Who does this: an Owner, Admin or Manager, before creating teams. Everything in ClubEzy belongs to a season: teams, members, events, registrations.

  • Know the season’s name, its start and end dates, and when registration should open and close.
  • If ClubEzy created a season called “First Season” when you set up the organisation, you will rename it here rather than create another.
  1. Go to Seasons.
  2. On the season card, open the ⋮ menu and choose Edit.
  3. Change the Name and Year, turn on Use specific dates and set the Start Date and End Date, and set Registration Opens and Registration Closes.
  4. Click Save.
  1. Go to Seasons and click New Season.
  2. Enter a Name (for example 2027 Season) and the Year.
  3. Turn on Use specific dates and set the Start Date and End Date.
  4. Set Registration Opens and Registration Closes.
  5. Leave Copy from Previous Season off. That is for rolling over next year.
  6. Click Create Season.

Click the season chip at the top of the sidebar and choose the season. The chip now shows its name, and the rest of the admin portal works inside it.

Each season card has three toggles. They do different jobs:

  • Active marks the season members see by default in the app. Turn it on when the season is ready for members to use.
  • Registrations Open controls whether your public registration link accepts submissions. Turn it on when your form is ready (see Set up online registration).
  • Trials Open controls whether trial registrations are accepted. Leave it off unless you run trials.

None of these is the same as selecting a season in the sidebar. Selecting is about what you are editing right now; Active is about what members see. You can edit next season while this season is still the active one.

The card shows the season’s dates and its Members and Groups counts, both zero for now. Next: create your teams and groups.

  • “Most tools are disabled until you choose the season context.” You have an organisation selected but no season. Click the season chip in the sidebar.
  • You cannot edit a season. Archived seasons are read-only, marked with an ARCHIVED badge under Archived Seasons. Permanent deletion is handled by ClubEzy staff on request.
  • New Season is missing. Creating seasons needs the Manager role or above.
