Roll over into next season

Who does this: an Owner, Admin or Manager, before the new season’s registration opens. Do this while the old season is still active; members keep using it until you switch.

  • Decide the new season’s name, dates and registration window.
  • Decide which teams continue. The wizard copies them as empty shells; players come across separately (next guide) or through registration.
  1. Go to Seasons and click New Season.
  2. Fill in the Name, Year, dates and registration window as usual, then turn on Copy from Previous Season. The form becomes a four-step wizard.
  3. Source Season: choose the season to copy from. Each shows its member count.
  4. Copy Groups: tick the teams to recreate. They are copied as empty shells, with no members. Select All if the structure is unchanged.
  5. Invite Members: choose who to invite into the new season. The role chips filter the list, and the staff roles (Admin, Manager, Coach, Assistant Coach, Support) are pre-selected so your committee and coaches come across. Use the search and Select All Visible for players you want to invite now; most clubs leave players to the next guide or to registration.
  6. Review & Create: check the summary, then tick what else to carry over: Rollover Gear Kits (copied as drafts with team links remapped), Rollover Sponsors, Rollover Business Directory (active listings only).
  7. Click Create Season.

The new season appears under Seasons with its teams and pending invitations. Everyone you invited receives “You’re invited to join {season}”. Select the new season in the sidebar to keep working in it, and turn on Active when you want members to see it by default. Archive the old season once its history is complete.

  • A team did not copy. It was not ticked in Copy Groups. Create it under Teams / Groups.
  • Kits came across as drafts. That is intended: check the team links and activate them once the new rosters are in.
  • Members are still seeing last season. The new season is not Active yet, or members have not accepted their invitation.
